About

In 1978, I was saved and since 1981 the Lord has led me to teach the Bible and even write research papers for a variety of discernment newsletters. Early on He drew me to Ezekiel 33, the chapter on being a watchman, and with it He gave me an analogy: if I were a mother and knew that that bathtub full of sparkling, shimmering water wasn’t water at all but lye, a dangerous poison, and also knew that my two children wanted to go splash and play in it, I would warn them with a loud voice so that not even a pinky toe would be harmed. That’s how I view my responsibility as a watchman. I am starting this blog after two years of waiting on the Lord. He quickened a variety of verses to me, including one in Philippians: ” I have sent you here to use you to defend the Truth.” The T was capitalized. That signified to me that the Truth He spoke of was His Word.

John 17:17 “ Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.”

There will be a wide range of topics covered: discernment and deception; Contemplative Spirituality; “Christian” yoga”; movies/books; marriage, including the real Biblical meaning of submission. I will normally post a new lesson every two weeks.

My promise is that this blog will be well-researched and undeniably substantiated with numerous Bible verses. I welcome your comments and will respond to you privately. In addition, if there is a topic you are interested in, please share that with me. I love research. If a number of you ask for information on a particular subject, I will research that subject and make it the topic of a future post.

Lastly, I would like to thank my wonderful team who make this blog possible: Shelly Arrington, Ariel Mcgarry, Carol White, J.P. Wilhelm, and Tracy Yoder.
